3 differences between The screenplay and the actual TV show

1:
One difference between the screen play of What Remains is in the screenplay the 'fat woman' or Melissa is killed by a silhouette however in the TV show you don't actually know if she is killed. You only see the moldy food in her old apartment. She is then found by the new residence who are looking for a leek in the roof. I think the reason they have done this is because if she is killed by a silhouette you would be able to see the gender of the killer and you wouldn't want to give this away early on in the mini series. As you see her getting the food out of her bag and putting it on the table and then you see the moldy food you begin to start thinking what happens to her you the show makes you start to think and work things out for yourself, making you want to watch all the episodes.

2: Another part of the screenplay that wasn't in the TV show is where Len explains his best and worst days in the police force. A reason for taking this out could be because it may not have quite flowed with the rest of the story or the changes they made to the story, or maybe its just unnecessary information? The audience may not need to know that certain bit about Len because maybe no one actually cares and it's pointless to put it in. I think it could have worked if it had stayed in the TV show though, It could show that Len was finally coming to the end of his career and how lonely he was getting by talking about his past (which is seen as a typical old person thing to do, talk about past experiences).

3: The last thing I found they removed from the show was when Joe gives Michael a flat tyre. They could have taken this out because they didn't want to show the tension between the two characters or maybe they didn't want to give anything away too early within the series.
