What we hope to achieve from creating this advert is to appeal to a more specialised audience, we have aimed our new advert at a male audience mainly working/lower middle class like lorry drivers and builders, people that take pack lunches etc. We hope to make the advert appeal to everyone however we are focusing on the male audience, we are making the short, sweet and to the point, its also going to be funny so people remember the advert better. We are going to use CGI to make certain effects just so the target audience remembers the advert better. We are going to have a slogan something like 'MANMIGHT!' or 'Its so manly is doesn't land butter side down', we are going to do this so the target audience (men) feel more manly eating Marmite and as stereotypical men all they care about if football, going down the pub and being manly. This is why we are going to aim our advert at them as not many woman eat Marmite its quite a manly product so we are going to show that in our advert.
Style:
We have chose our style to be humorous/slightly surreal, we decided to be this so the advert would stick in peoples heads more, people who watched the advert would also say to their friends did you see that new Marmite advert? Its really funny. This will make people want to watch or look out for the advert and then they will want to eat some Marmite.
Relevance to Audience:
Our advert targets the audience by making it a manly product, like I have said above its going to be a funny, manly advert slightly like the Snickers advert with Mr T. We are going to make this appeal to the target audience by putting our advert on after 7pm. There is a slight hint of violence so this is a good time to put the advert on so young children do not get influenced by the advert. We also chose the channel Dave as its aimed at men as it shows Man v Food and Topgear so we would put our advert in between these shows/time slots.
